Welcome to Cornwall Homechoice, the choice based housing register for council homes, social housing vacancies and shared ownership affordable housing in Cornwall. Cornwall Homechoice replaces the former district housing registers and those of the major housing associations in Cornwall.
Homechoice gives you more say in deciding where you wish to live and makes the process much more open, letting you see which properties are available, what the rent is and who can bid for them. We also list properties available for shared ownership and affordable homes for sale via Homebuy.
If you’re not already on the Cornwall Homechoice register, you can apply by clicking on Login/My Account above and completing the Housing Application form.
Once your housing need has been assessed and you are on the Homechoice register, you can bid for suitable properties advertised by Cornwall Homechoice
Important: Changes to Cornwall Homechoice
If you are already registered and able to bid please note the following changes

From 7th August 2010 due to high demand you will only be able to bid on up to 3 adverts a week

Adverts will generally be restricted to bidding from Band A, B & C applicants. Some adverts will still be open to All Bands e.g. in the cases of properties that are low demand or are for older persons or that require a local connection to a parish.

If you bid and are successful we will forward your details to the relevant landlord. Until we hear back from the landlord as to whether you will be accepted for that property or not you may be temporarily unable to bid on future properties. So please bid carefully.

We have also let 32 sheltered properties (these are properties for older persons who are in housing need)
