Homechoice gives you more say in deciding where you wish to live and makes the process much more open, letting you see which properties are available, what the rent is and who can bid for them.  We also list some of the properties available for shared ownership and affordable homes for sale via Homebuy. Once you have completed your online application form we will assess your need and write to you with your Banding, you will then be able to bid for suitable properties advertised on this website Saturday to Wednesday each week. Properties are generally allocated to the bidder in the highest Band and who meets any stated criteria i.e. local connection to the parish etc.

Please note that from Thursday 2nd February 2012 you will no longer be able to bid by SMS Text messaging. You will still be able to bid online and by automated phone system by calling 0845 5051460. Important Changes To Social Housing Tenancies There are important changes which may affect new tenants. Landlords will be able to offer shorter term tenancies and some may also charge higher rents. It is important you understand these changes and what it means for you before accepting a property from a social landlord.
